Clown Parade in Tokyo Report
We held “Clown Parade in Tokyo” at the Sozenji Temple in Hamura-city, Tokyo, on 29th May.
Over 100 audience were gathered at the venue. Ten groups of 18 clowns and musicians presented their performance for two and a half hours with an intermission.
After the show, led by the chief priest of the Sozenji Temple, Mr. Takai, we held a parade through the neighbourhood in the town with a donation box. We received a generous contribution from people at the venue and the neighbourhood, 114,4000 yen.
The admission ticket sales were 191,000 yen.
We are planning to send money to Ukraine to help the Comediada organizer.
The director of Comediada, Mr. Deliyev sent us a message after we showed him the video of the show.
Thank you very much for your support! The show was great. I liked Iori’s new performance - Drunk with cigar boxes most. And the juggler duo was great. I also liked the girl with a gift, accompanied by an accordion player. The music of Odessa the band played made me very happy. And in general, everyone is good in their way.
As for money, we need to think about how to handle it. We will discuss it later. I am very grateful to you all.
We are happy to know that “Peace with Laugh” shared by everyone who participated “Clown Parade in Tokyo” touched his heart. Clown Parade has taken a step forward, as the show was like crossing a big bridge. People who wish for “Peace with Laugh” has built this bridge with united efforts.
We keep the parade going to reach true peace.

The publishing conditions are as follows:

- Content: performance (clownery number, reprise, musical eccentricity, pantomime, visual arts, poetry related to clowning, etc.).
- The presentation is preferably without words.
- Upload to YouTube or Vimeo, and send its URL to mikio-o@hotmail.co.jp
- For detailed description of the work, please send a separate text (Ukraine/English/Russian/Japanese).
The main theme of works and performances is to provide moral support for Ukrainians. Generally any content is accepted, but please be reminded making a piece of work that pleases Ukrainians who are now suffering from war and fighting for their freedom.
